Integrated night lights for DP-1, DP-11 and DP-12 finders

A problem with the DP-1 and DP-11 is that their light meters cannot be seen in the dark, unless a DL-1 is attached. The DL-1 is now getting hard to find, and expensive. Also, even with the DL-1, it is not possible to see the aperture readings with the DP-11 and DP-12. I can now offer the following night light modification services. For the DP-1 and DP-11 : - Add an integrated Light Emitted Diode (LED) and a push on/release off button switch, so that the meter can be seen in the dark. On current drain is 5mA, so you can get about 40 hours of continuous use with a set of SR44 200mAH silver oxide button cells. (No loss of power when the night lights are off.) The modification price is USD85 or GBP50 - Add three integrated LEDs and a push on/release off button switch so that the meter, shutter speed and aperture readings can be seen in the dark. On current drain is 10mA, so you can get about 20 hours of continuous use with a set of SR44 200mAH silver oxide button cells. (No loss of power when the night lights are off.) The modification price is USD105 or GBP60 - Add three integrated LEDs, a button switch and an electronic latch circuitry so that one press of the switch will make the LEDs stay on until the advance lever is closed. On current drain is 10mA, so you can get about 20 hours of continuous use with a set of SR44 200mAH silver oxide button cells. (No loss of power when the night lights are off.) The modification price is USD140 or GBP80 - Add three integrated LEDs, but without the button switch. The LEDs always turns on when the meter is activated. The modification price is USD70 or GBP40 For the DP-12 : - Add an LED so that the aperture readings can be seen in the dark. The night light is activated by the slider at the top of the DP-12. On current drain is 5mA, so you can get about 40 hours of continuous use with a set of SR44 200mAH silver oxide button cells. (No loss of power when the night light is off.) The modification price is USD60 or GBP35 - Add an LED and an electronic latch circuitry so that one slide of the top switch will make the LEDs stay on until the advance lever is closed. On current drain is 5mA, so you can get about 40 hours of continuous use with a set of SR44 200mAH silver oxide button cells. (No loss of power when the night light is off.) The modification price is USD160 or GBP100 The above prices do not include serving of the DP-1, DP-11 or DP-12.

Button switch to turn on the integrated night light. You can press the switch with your left hand finger, and press the shutter button with your right hand finger simultaneously. Very practical and easy to use.
